Never did Debé dream, at the same time that she was drinking lethal margaritas in Hussongs, her favorite Meican cantina, that this songwriter whom at that time could not write one full sentence in Spanish, would one day write all about that 'loco' joint with "Mi Cantina" one of the songs in Diamantes Mariachi de Debé Gunn.  She confesses:  "My love for the language and Mariachi music was born in that crazy place!  There I'd be, warbling the songs along with the dizzy crown, accompanied by 'guapo' Mariachis!"

Finally, with two certificates in Advanced Spanish what was Debé to do with all of these new Spanish songs?  She decided, it was time to embark on a pilgrimage to the birthplace of the Mariachi, Guadalajara, Mexico.   What an experience!   Many obstacles, tears and finally, smiles! later, here is Debé's gift to the beautiful people of México and to all of you... "Mariachi Diamonds of Debé Gunn."
